Our Story

Who We Are

The Story
of Zaragoza

The Beginning

Born in a
Kitchen in Aragón

Zaragoza began as a memory — of a grandmother's kitchen, of saffron and olive oil, of evenings spent around a table that never seemed to empty. Our founders carried those memories from northern Spain to the shores of Lake Erie, determined to recreate something that felt genuinely alive.

Opened in [YEAR] on [ADDRESS PLACEHOLDER], the restaurant quickly became a gathering place for Cleveland's food community — somewhere between a neighbourhood bar and a proper dining room, and entirely itself.

Our Philosophy

"Food is how we
say we love you."

Every plate at Zaragoza is designed to land in the middle of the table — to be pointed at, argued over, shared, and re-ordered. We don't do tasting menus or hushed reverence. We do noise and warmth and very good wine.

Provenance

We know where our fish was caught, our saffron was grown, and our Rioja was bottled. That knowledge matters.

Generosity

Portions are meant to share. The wine list is meant to be explored. The evening is meant to be long.

Tradition

We respect classical Spanish technique — but we're not a museum. Seasonal ingredients push us forward.

The Team

People Who
Care Deeply

Head Chef [NAME PLACEHOLDER] brings [X] years of experience from restaurants in Madrid and Barcelona. The front-of-house team are regulars themselves — they'll remember your name and your preferred Sangría.

We hire people who love food, not just cooking it. The difference shows in every interaction.
